Eric brings a unique combination of senior management consulting and hands-on leadership as a former CEO, leader of client engagements for Fortune 100s, and successful entrepreneur launching, growing, and selling innovative businesses.
Previously, Eric was co-Founder, President, and Board Director of Security First Network Bank/S1 Corporation, the World’s First Internet Bank – subsequently sold to Royal Bank of Canada, then PNC Bank. Eric also served as CEO and Board Director of ZapMedia, an entertainment and media convergence company that created the first digital entertainment player – the ZapStation. Eric was President, CEO, and Board Manager of RentBureau a company that created the first apartment industry credit database, later sold to Experian. Eric was a founding Board Director of both Midtown Bank and Trust and LAVA Group, Inc., a firm helping companies convert intellectual capital into monetary assets.
Eric also worked at McKinsey & Company in Washington DC, Paris, London, and Atlanta, leading engagements serving CXOs and other top executives. With a focus in technology, energy, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and telecom, Eric provided expertise in strategic planning, organizational performance, product development, operations, M&A, and marketing.
Eric volunteers on the boards of the CEO High Tech Council, Temple Sinai, and as adjunct at Emory’s Goizueta Business School.
Eric holds an MBA from Wharton Business School and degrees in economics and chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
