Jay Higginbotham is currently an Executive in Residence at Causeway Media Partners. He is also an advisor and consultant to a variety of digital-media and related technology firms, including DigitalTrends, Neon Labs, Feed Media, Keas, and others.
From 2011 to 2012, Jay was VP of Product Management at Turner Sports, where he led the product teams for Sports Illustrated digital and the SportsNow brand. In that role he was responsible for the SI and related brands’ consumer-facing digital media experiences including websites, mobile web, mobile apps, social media apps, and fantasy sports games. He was previously interim general manager for Sports Illustrated digital.
From 2008 to 2010, Jay was VP & Sr. Project Leader in Turner Broadcasting's Strategic Audience Solutions group, where he developed products and partnerships to expand the company’s advanced television businesses. In that role, Jay led cross-divisional teams to expand Turner’s capabilities in regional ad targeting, syndication ad sales, and interactive TV advertising. Jay also led development of interactive products, including a game-tracker application for NBA.com.
From 2005 to 2008, Jay was a part of Turner’s New Products Group business incubator. As a VP & Sr. Project Leader, he identified new-media business opportunities and developed new products and brands. Accomplishments included launching veryfunnyads.com, a brand extension site for the TBS network, and leading initiatives that became the female lifestyle brand thefrisky.com and TVinContext-- TBS and TNT's television network contextual advertising product.
Earlier in his career, Jay was a management consultant for broadcasters and other media businesses and a Director of Business Development and Operations at CNN.com and CNN Domestic Networks.
