Joanie Twersky, Sr. Marketing Manager, AT&T Foundry is responsible for managing relationships and visibility for AT&T’s Atlanta-based innovation center with sponsors, academics, developers, inventors, venture capitalists, policy makers, analysts and community stakeholders. She also provides business oversight, leadership and opportunity analysis for current and prospective Mobility projects at the Foundry.
Prior to joining the Foundry a year ago, Joanie worked for AT&T in Product Management, Customer Experience, Network, and led sub-teams towards the development of an overall marketing strategy for the Alltel acquisition.
Before joining AT&T in 2011, Joanie served over four years as a Program Manager for non-profit microfinance leader ACCION USA (AUSA) where she oversaw the disbursement of small business loans to microentrepreneurs throughout Georgia. An active member of Atlanta’s non-profit community, Joanie is a 2013 & 2014 President’s Volunteer Service Award Winner and has held a number of leadership positions, including Selection Committee for Venture Atlanta, Membership Chair for Women Advancing Microfinance and Sponsorship Chair for the Junior League of Atlanta’s Shamrock N’ Roll Road Race. Joanie is also a United Way VIP alum.
In 2005, Joanie spent half a year in nomadic Mongolia studying economic development through the School of International Training. She holds an MBA from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the George Washington University.
Joanie and her husband, Adam, have jointly lived in five states and three countries but are proud to call Atlanta home.
