Steve Dotson

Director Security and Compliance at Pindrop

Steve Dotson is an enterprise security executive with over 17 years of experience in Risk and Information Security, including public and private companies, and start ups. Steve has built several new global security programs, and has proven experience in enabling business growth in a secure manner through risk management and business alignment.

Steve joined First Advantage in September of 2013 as Chief Information Security Officer. In his global role he is responsible for all aspects of Information Security and IT Risk across the enterprise. Steve is building global capabilities and raising the maturity of many areas including Security Operations, Vendor Assessment, BCP, IT Risk, and Identity Management.

As the Director of Information Security for Travelport, Steve was responsible for Security Architecture, Security Engineering, and Security Intelligence. Steve was responsible for many different domains including Security Development Lifecycle, Mobile, Identity Management, Security Intelligence, Data Protection, and 3rd Party Assessment.

Prior to joining Travelport, Steve was a Security Architect and Security Manager at Cox Communications, where he was the catalyst and developer for the information security roadmap, the information security reference architecture, the Risk Management framework, 3rd party contracts, as well as other key initiatives. Steve was responsible for security architecture across the enterprise and consumer products including Voice, Video, High Speed Data, and Cox’s new Wireless initiative. 

Steve is a certified Information Systems Security Professional and has spoken at several conferences including ISSA, IEEE CQR and CableLabs summits. Steve has worked with the Cloud Security Alliance to develop security assessment processes and controls for cloud providers. Steve has a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Masters in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology.
